Discovering the Puy-de-Dôme
In the heart of the Massif du Sancy and the Parc des Volcans d’Auvergne, at 700 m altitude and 400 m from the village of St Nectaire. La Vallée Verte campsite is ideally situated for discovering the breathtaking scenery. The village entertainment (in summer) complements the motto of the campsite, which makes a point of honoring its tranquility at the height of the season.
On foot or by mountain bike, set off on an adventure along numerous signposted trails, where lakes, rivers, waterfalls, ridges and valleys offer hikers sublime, inimitable views in a natural, unspoilt setting.
A campsite on a human scale, quiet (no music in the evening, phew!), extremely clean whatever the time of day. The pitches are large and shady. The indoor swimming pool is a great place to cool off after a day in the mountains. The owners are lovely and very responsive. And all for a very reasonable price. We would recommend +++.
I’m currently still staying at the campsite, and I appreciate the peace and quiet, the large pitches, the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities throughout the day, the children’s playground (my grandchildren came to join me for the day and were made very welcome), the kindness and accessibility of the owners and, after a good day out, the possibility of eating on site… even in September!
Not forgetting the top-notch swimming pool.
We’ll be back with great pleasure.
We were delighted with our stay at Camping La Vallée Verte! The services on offer are top notch, the managers are extremely helpful and very friendly, and we had a very good pitch. Quiet, green and well maintained. The campsite has a great family atmosphere. The children’s play area was ideal! We recommend ++!
Nearby activities: Saint-Nectaire is very well located. A variety of family-friendly activities nearby.
Very pleasant family campsite. It’s a little corner of peace far from the “club med” activities. The managers are friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed and it’s easy to talk to them and the other campers.
The swimming pool and paddling pool are covered, which is very pleasant. The play area is very varied, a paradise for children!
The bread and pastries are baked on site and the home-cooked meals are very good!
The sanitary facilities are clean at all times (the only point for improvement would be to put toilet paper in the toddlers’ WC, even if it means putting it up high).
It’s a campsite we’ll be delighted to come back to.
